Arrived Sunday December 28th, '97 via taxi from airport - ~Airways ### from Amsterdam.
This is a pleasant suprise ! From the modern reception area to my room #309, everything is sleek, ultra modern, and visually pleasing. Everything is compact and sturdy, well thought-out and ergonomically correct. It seems the only thing not upgraded is the lift, yet I don't expect there are many guests in groups, or with large families. Being listed as both business hotel and 'bed & breakfast' the breakfast room is also pleasing, with high ceilings, modern lighting, and on the sideboard fresh fruit and drinks always available. Light wood, smooth chrome, plenty of curves, inviting seating and pleasant staff made the entire downstairs area welcoming. Breakfast in the dining room was friendly, with a wide range of teas, spreads, breads and cheeses available. Staff were accommodating and extremely helpful with assistance and directions. I was rather impressed with the feeling of security throughout the entire hotel, particularly at the front desk, and appreciated being asked to write my name for verification rather than stating my room number. Comfortable bed for a good sleep, plenty of hot water for a long shower, adjustable airconditioning, and what wasn't available in the mini-bar or the vending machines was sure to be available through room service. A very pleasant, although too brief, stay. Personally recommended. Departed Tuesday afternoon, 30th. December, Lufthansa How far is it ? |
